The engine emits a gruff, lusty roar, the clutch is easy although a biting point at the top of the pedal's travel makes it difficult to manoeuvre at first. But the accelerator is smooth and, despite a hint of transmission whine, the car has obviously been well maintained. The four-speed manual ZF gearbox has an unburstable feel but is pleasingly light in use, shifting cleanly and positively. |
